We are now seeking a temporary clinical support worker for our Lindsay clinic to cover an immediate need. This role is ideal for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or a motivated summer nursing student looking for hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for telemedicine appointments; accurately document patient demographics and medical histories
- Use technology to connect patients with physicians and assist during consultations as needed
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures such as vital signs or point-of-care tests (within scope for qualifications)
- Liaise with patients and providers for follow-ups, referrals, or additional consultations
- Fax or email consultation and requisition forms to specialists or external providers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic environment
- Assist with other daily clinic tasks to ensure smooth operations
Who We’re Looking For
RPN or RN (Temporary, 60–75 days):
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Able to thrive in a busy clinic and manage multiple priorities
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and accountable
- Comfortable with computers and telemedicine systems
Nursing Student (Temporary, 60–75 days):
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Practical Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program in Ontario
- Completed at least one clinical placement (preferred but not required)
- Strong willingness to learn, take direction, and work under supervision
- Basic computer skills and comfort with virtual care tools
- Reliable, professional, and eager to gain real-world clinical experience
