Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager/Bartender to lead our bar operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a lively hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food and beverage knowledge, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests. This role involves managing daily bar activities, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Previous restaurant or hotel experience, along with bartending expertise, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper food handling and storage
Supervise and train bartenders and bar staff to uphold service standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and alcohol licensing laws
Handle cash transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs promptly
Monitor the cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and workstations
Assist in interviewing and onboarding new team members to build a strong team
Lead by example in hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism to foster a positive work environment
Assist / lead in planning and organizing special events

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations within the food industry
Strong background in food service, hospitality, or restaurant management roles
Demonstrated supervising experience with team management capabilities
Proficiency with POS systems such as PixelPoint or similar platforms for cash handling
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Leadership qualities with experience in interviewing and training staff
Ability to manage restaurant or bar operations efficiently under pressure
Bartending experience or familiarity with beverage preparation is required
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor suitable for supervising staff and interacting with guests
