Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent guest service, managing transactions accurately, and supporting the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety standards are preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Duties

Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
Process payments through cash handling and cashiering procedures
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of guest service
Assist with food preparation and ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
Provide friendly guest services, answer questions about menu items, and address customer concerns professionally
Support team members in maintaining restaurant operations during shifts

Skills

Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or transactions efficiently
Previous food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory
Effective communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of food preparation and serving techniques
Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest services and upselling opportunities

Pay: $15.26-$17.25 per hour
