Key Responsibilities
The Lead Consultant will:
- Lead scientific, technical, and regulatory consulting projects
- Contribute to drug discovery, collaborative research, and custom synthesis initiatives
- Support process development, analytical investigations, and product innovation
- Develop SOPs, technical reports, validation protocols, scientific dossiers, and compliance documentation
- Conduct technical assessments, root cause investigations, and scientific evaluations
- Support GMP, GLP, ISO, Health Canada, FDA, and international regulatory activities
- Participate in technology transfer, commercialization, and strategic research planning
- Build and maintain industry and research collaborations
- Mentor researchers, scientists, and technical personnel
- Advise management on scientific strategy, innovation, and business development
- Represent the organization in scientific, industrial, and collaborative initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD and Postdoctoral experience in:
- Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Medicinal Chemistry
- Analytical Chemistry
- Polymer Science
- Materials Science
- Nanotechnology
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Chemical Engineering
- Biotechnology
- Geotechnology
- Engineering disciplines
- Or related scientific/technical fields
- Minimum 5+ years of industrial, research, regulatory, or consulting experience
- Strong scientific writing and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments
Preferred Technical Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Drug discovery and medicinal chemistry
- Custom synthesis and CRO-related services
- GMP / GLP / ISO compliance environments
- HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, FTIR, DSC, SEM, TEM, XRD, rheology, and advanced materials characterization
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialty chemical, or advanced materials industries
- Product formulation and process development
- Stability studies and validation
- CAPA investigations and quality systems management
- Regulatory submissions and audit support
- Sustainable materials, biomaterials, nanomaterials, functional coatings, or advanced manufacturing technologies
