Status: This is a replacement position due to a recent vacancy.
ABOUT THE ROLE
TerraCorp Management, located in London, Ontario, is looking for a Capital Projects Coordinator to be responsible for problem-solving and developing innovative solutions to complete projects efficiently. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of construction practices and building systems.
As the Capital Projects Coordinator you will:
- Develop and implement a Building Inspection Program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
- Managing calendars, meetings, and schedules for projects and events, both internal and external
- Conduct and document regular inspections
- Professional correspondence to City officials, planners, and consultants
- Oversee and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
- Obtain and negotiate quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
- Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness
- Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships
- Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
- Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, schedules, expenditures, and purchases
- Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives
- Capex project and staff management
- Special project sourcing/purchasing
- General Knowledge of project planning and development of the construction plan
- Project organization, staffing and scheduling
- Prepare contracts, invoices, statements, and purchase orders
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in construction technology or relevant field required
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of procurement and contracts
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- 3+ years experience in construction, maintenance, and all facets of facility operation
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with various computer software programs including all Microsoft Suite applications
- Detailed planning and organizational skills
- Problem solving analysis
- Teamwork

Salary range for this position is $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. We offer the following benefits:
