Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sales and Catering Coordinator to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will drive revenue growth by coordinating sales efforts and catering services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences from initial inquiry to event execution. Your proactive approach, combined with excellent communication skills, will help foster strong client relationships and maximize opportunities for upselling. This position offers a vibrant environment where your organizational skills and hospitality expertise will shine, contributing to memorable events and satisfied guests.

Duties

Collaborate with clients to understand their event needs, preferences, and budgets, providing tailored proposals that highlight our venue’s unique offerings
Actively promote and upsell additional services such as menu options, event enhancements, and room packages to increase revenue
Coordinate all aspects of catering and event planning, including menu selection, logistics, staffing, and setup requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, ensuring clear communication and timely updates
Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients while maintaining profitability and adhering to company policies
Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies for expanding our client base
Oversee event execution on the day of, ensuring seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction while managing time effectively within budget constraints

Experience

Proven experience in sales or catering coordination within the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred
Strong background in customer service with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful upselling and closing deals
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through effective time management and organizational skills
Familiarity with marketing strategies to promote services and attract new clients
Previous hotel or restaurant experience is highly desirable, providing a solid foundation in hospitality standards and guest interactions
Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial management related to event planning
