Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

As a member of PaLM, the Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) works under the supervision of the Manager for the Laboratory in coordination with the Senior Medical Laboratory Technologists. Staff in PaLM may be assigned to London Health Sciences Centre (University Hospital, Victoria Hospital), St. Joseph's Health Care, or other sites as required.

We are hiring for multiple positions in different departments Core Lab, Microbiology, Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics, Transplant Immunology, Anatomical Pathology, Endocrinology, Transfusion Medicine

Qualifications

Current registration or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with authorization to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine
Certification with C.S.M.L.S or equivalent
Ability to work 24/7 shifts
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
Demonstrated accuracy and organizational skills
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) as well as conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective relationships within healthcare teams
Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Vision, purpose and Values
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
