Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Deli Manager, where you will lead the daily operations of our bustling deli department with energy and enthusiasm. This pivotal role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and inspiring a motivated team. As a Deli Manager, you will be the driving force behind creating a welcoming environment that delights customers and promotes high-quality food offerings. Your leadership will ensure smooth operations, adherence to safety protocols, and the continuous delivery of fresh, delicious products that keep our customers coming back for more.

Duties

Lead and supervise the deli team, providing clear direction, training, and motivation to achieve operational excellence.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation meet company standards.
Manage daily deli operations including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper food handling procedures.
Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, addressing their needs promptly, and fostering a friendly shopping experience.
Enforce food safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health codes and industry best practices.
Coordinate with kitchen staff and suppliers to ensure fresh ingredients are available for daily food preparation.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase sales while minimizing waste and controlling costs.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a food service environment or restaurant management role.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques.
Extensive knowledge of the food industry, including deli operations and restaurant experience.
Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality and serving others.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations essential for maintaining high hygiene levels.
Previous barista experience or familiarity with beverage preparation is a plus but not required.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
