Join the Leads Team for Fall 2026 as a Finance & Accounting Assistant (Co-op)!
Requirements – you must have:
· Currently enrolled in a Finance, Accounting, or related post-secondary program and eligible for a co-op or work-integrated learning (WIL) placement;
· One year of related experience in an accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or administrative role;
· Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting;
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Microsoft Excel;
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
· High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts;
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion;
· Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and contribute effectively as part of a team;
- A current, satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check, or the ability to obtain one upon hire;
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and Sage is considered an asset.
Please note: This position is funded by the Government of Canada's Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). Applicants must meet the program's eligibility requirements, including enrollment in a Canadian post-secondary institution, participation in an eligible co-op or work-integrated learning placement, and Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or protected person status with legal authorization to work in Canada. International students are not eligible for the program.
The contract will be 16 weeks in length (35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $21.00). The start and end dates fall between September and December 2026. The role is predominantly in-person at Leads’ London office.
