Job Title: Design Assistant / Intern
Company: Nicolas Garden Art Inc.
Reports to: Mike Prong, Director of Sales and Design
Compensation: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour
Position Type: Part-time Role

Overview
Nicolas Garden Art Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Assistant or Intern to join our team. Reporting directly to Mike Prong, Director of Sales and Design, you will work side-by-side with leadership to bring high-end landscape and pool projects from concept to completion. This role offers a unique balance of creative office work and hands-on field experience.

Key Responsibilities

Work directly alongside the Director of Sales and Design to develop and refine project concepts.
Conduct site visits to assist with accurate measurements, site analysis, and photography.
Translate field notes and measurements into detailed 2D and 3D design renderings.
Support the sales process by preparing client presentation materials and project documentation.
Assist with material selection and coordinating design details to ensure high-quality execution.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in landscape design, architecture, or a related field (internship experience included).
Experience or comfort working in the field, including taking site measurements and navigating active project sites.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar).
Strong visual communication skills and a high level of accuracy in technical drawings.
A collaborative attitude and a desire to learn the business of high-end landscape design.
Must have reliable transportation for travel to various job sites.
