Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Loss Prevention Investigator to protect company assets, ensure safety, and prevent theft or misconduct within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement or security, with expertise in surveillance and CCTV operations. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a secure shopping experience for customers and staff alike.

Duties

Monitor store premises using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity.
Conduct regular patrols of the store to identify potential security risks or theft.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to investigate incidents.
Respond promptly and professionally to security breaches or emergencies.
Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of security activities.
Implement loss prevention strategies and educate staff on security protocols.
Assist in training new team members on surveillance procedures and loss prevention techniques.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and legal regulations related to security operations.

Skills

Proven experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention roles.
Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and monitoring techniques.
Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations.
Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining vigilance.
Knowledge of legal procedures related to theft prevention and security enforcement is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our team dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons and staff.

Requirements

Valid Ontario Security Guard License (required)
Previous loss prevention or security experience (preferred)
Strong observation and communication skills
Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Must have open availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

Schedule

Full-time and part-time shifts available
Flexible scheduling based on operational needs
