We are currently recruiting for an HR Coordinator / Junior HR Generalist to support a well-established manufacturing organization in Montreal. This is a 6-month contract opportunity for someone who enjoys recruitment, employee support, HR administration, and working in a fast-paced plant environment.
This role is ideal for a bilingual HR professional with 1–2 years of hands-on human resources or recruitment experience who is ready to take ownership, work independently, and provide day-to-day support to the HR Manager.
The successful candidate will act as a key support partner to the HR Manager and will be heavily involved in recruitment activities for both hourly and salaried positions. The role will also include onboarding, HR documentation, employee communication, training coordination, and general HR administration.
In this role, you will support the HR team with a strong focus on recruitment and employee coordination. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing recruitment activities for hourly and salaried positions, including resume screening, candidate shortlisting, interview coordination, and follow-up
- Recruiting for roles such as machine operators, mechanics, production supervisors, administrative staff, accounting support, and other plant-based positions
- Preparing job postings and supporting sourcing efforts for open roles
- Coordinating interviews with hiring managers and candidates
- Supporting offer letter preparation, onboarding documentation, and new hire coordination
- Assisting with new employee orientation and onboarding activities
- Maintaining accurate employee files and HR records
- Supporting HR documentation, compliance, filing, and audit-related follow-up
- Assisting with employee communications for the shop floor and office teams
- Coordinating training activities as required
- Providing general administrative support to the HR Manager
- Supporting other HR projects and duties as needed

The ideal candidate will bring:
- 1–2 years of experience in human resources, recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR coordination
- Strong hands-on recruitment experience, including screening resumes and coordinating interviews
- Bilingual communication skills in English and French
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent organization, follow-up, and time management abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a manufacturing, plant, industrial, logistics, or operations-based environment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
- A professional, approachable, and team-oriented attitude

This position is based on-site in a manufacturing plant environment in Montreal. The HR office is located within the plant, and the successful candidate will interact with both office and production employees.
