TM’z Veterinary Clinic has immediate part-time openings for two Veterinary Assistant positions. Do you have a passion and love for animals and want to make a difference? Perhaps you are unsure what your long-term goals are for a career but know it is something to do with animals. Our TA positions are on the job trained and play an especially important role in our successful veterinary team. We are a busy three doctor veterinary practice in Lumsden. (a short 15 min drive from Regina) The successful candidate should be mature, confident, hardworking, comfortable working in a busy environment and have the ability to multitask and learn quickly on the go. The successful candidate should have experience working in a veterinary clinic, kennel, and/or experience with animals. Here at TM’Z Vet Clinic, we strive to empower our team and nurture and grow their skills and abilities so that they are confident active contributing team members. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to are: assisting Veterinarians and Vet Techs during examinations, treatments, surgeries and taking radiographs, maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms at all times, top notch communication with our clients and have the ability to prioritize a list of tasks and responsibilities based on the always changing schedule and work load, cleaning and sanitizing runs and cages, feeding and caring for dogs and cats, walking dogs, doing laundry and general cleaning but there is much more our TA’s are trained to do. Most importantly, our TA’s are actively engaged with appointment flow, working alongside the veterinarian to ensure a smooth customer experience, and providing excellent patient care from start to finish. The ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs and be on your feet for an 8 hour shift. is a must. At TM’z, our team is always moving around and is kept busy. It is a fun, fast paced environment where all members of our team can make a difference. Our workdays are filled with laughter and joking around, and you blink and the day is already over. Candidates must have computer proficiency. Successful members must be able to work various shifts and on rotation until 8 pm Monday- Friday and on Saturdays ( 9 am – 6 pm) Wage is dependent upon experience.
