Position Summary
QRC Logistics is currently seeking a professional and safety-focused AZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team based out of Smiths Falls, Ontario.
This role is responsible for operating a tractor-trailer unit to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups across regional service areas. Routes are varied and may include destinations throughout Eastern and Central Ontario and Quebec, with service areas including Montreal, Ottawa, and Milton.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills, a commitment to safety and compliance, and the ability to provide professional service while representing QRC Logistics on the road and at customer locations.
Safely operate a tractor-trailer unit to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
Service regional routes with destinations that may include Montreal, Ottawa, Milton, and surrounding areas
Ensure freight is transported safely and securely in accordance with load securement regulations
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate shipment documentation including Bills of Lading and delivery paperwork
Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or operational concerns
Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining compliance with Hours of Service regulations
Operate vehicles safely in various traffic and weather conditions
Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned equipment
Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers at pickup and delivery locations
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all times
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Ontario AZ driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR
Minimum 3 years of AZ commercial driving experience preferred
Experience operating tractor-trailer equipment in regional highway environments
Strong knowledge of Ontario and Quebec highway systems and regional routes
Understanding of load securement and transportation safety requirements
Ability to manage delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with Hours of Service regulations
Strong communication and customer service skills
Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player
Ability to work independently and responsibly while on route
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to varied routes and service locations
