Role Overview
The Strategic Client Advisor serves as the primary marketing lead and trusted advisor for
assigned client accounts. The role owns each client’s marketing strategy and is
accountable for coordinating its execution across the internal team, ensuring every initiative aligns with the client’s goals, brand, and business objectives.
The Strategic Client Advisor sets direction, reviews work, and coordinates the specialists who produce and publish content, partnering closely with the Content Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, and Social Media Coordinator, rather than creating deliverables directly. They are the single point of accountability for the health of each assigned account.
Core Responsibility Areas
The role breaks into four primary pillars, plus cross-cutting responsibilities that apply to all
of them.
1. Client Strategy & Account Leadership
- Develop and manage annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing strategies for
assigned clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for each client account.
- Maintain a current understanding of each client’s goals, FAQs, positioning, and brand,
and translate them into clear direction for the team.
- Ensure all marketing activity aligns with the client’s objectives and business goals.
2. Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate marketing initiatives across print, digital, web, email, social media,
content, and trade show channels.
- Brief internal specialists and the Content Manager on client requirements, objectives,
and timelines.
- Work closely with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and meet client
objectives.
- Plan and manage trade show marketing initiatives and supporting assets.
- Manage multiple client accounts and competing priorities simultaneously.
3. Strategic Direction & Content Oversight
- Provide strategic direction, review, and recommendations on marketing campaigns
and assets.
- Partner with the Content Manager to ensure ad, blog, social, and collateral content
aligns with each client’s strategy, voice, and brand.
- Review key deliverables against the agreed strategy before they reach the client.
- Act as the client-facing checkpoint, ensuring recommendations and creative reflect
the client’s direction and expectations.
4. Performance Monitoring & Growth
- Monitor marketing performance and report on results against each client’s goals.
- Partner with the DM Specialist to interpret ad and organic performance data and
translate it into next steps.
- Identify opportunities for growth and improvement and act on them proactively.
- Use data alongside creative judgment to refine strategy and recommendations.
Cross-Cutting Responsibilities
- Client relationships: Keep clients supported, informed, and confident in their
marketing strategy, and serve as their trusted advisor throughout the engagement.
- Brand & strategy stewardship: Ensure everything produced for an account,
across every channel, stays aligned with that client’s brand, voice, and goals.
- Cross-channel cohesion: Ensure ad copy, blog content, social messaging, and
collateral (print, e-blasts, radio, trade show, promo) reinforce one another within each
client’s strategy.
- Collaboration discipline: Keep handoffs with the Content Manager, DM Specialist,
and Social Media Coordinator smooth so work doesn’t bottleneck.
- Analytics & reporting: Partner with the DM Specialist to report on performance and
recommend improvements to clients.
- Technology & AI enablement: Leverage AI and modern marketing technologies to
improve efficiency, planning, and execution.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
