Full job description

Job Summary

This position is approximately a 50/50 split of work in the field and in the office. The position is a 6-month term and can lead to permanent employment in a similar position.

Qualifications

poultry experience
have experience drawing blood, or willingness to learn
have strong verbal and written communication skills
be detail-oriented
adhere to biosecurity measures outlined by MCP
have a reliable vehicle and valid drivers’ license
be willing to travel within the province, generally within 200 km from Winnipeg.

Duties

environmental and blood sampling on broiler breeder farms
delivering samples to the lab and monitoring results
assisting with broiler breeder and broiler on-farm programs
assisting with live animal events
assisting with regulatory administration
working both independently and with team members.
