Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Café Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations in our vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations. Previous restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel experience, along with barista expertise, and food handling, is highly desirable.

Job Expectations:

Supervise and execute daily café operations, including food preparation, serving, and cashiering using Square POS systems.
Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and uphold food safety standards.
Oversee food handling procedures, ensure compliance with health regulations, and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
Manage cash handling processes accurately and efficiently.
Assist in keeping staff on track.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management on ordering
Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Ensure adherence to restaurant policies, safety protocols, and hospitality standards.
Collaborate with management on menu planning, promotional activities, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food service or restaurant management; supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Square; cash handling experience required.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous.
Knowledge of kitchen operations and food industry standards is essential.
Prior experience working as a barista or in food service roles such as serving or food handling is beneficial.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
