So what’s this role all about?
The Team Leader Trainee - Hospitality leads the daily operations of the restaurant and Candy
Cabin to ensure excellent customer service, the highest quality of cuisine is served, and to ensure
that all food and labour cost goals are met.
You’ll fit in great if you:
- Direct kitchen operations, including assigning tasks and supervision of safe food
preparation, cooking, and cleanup; ensures all tasks are carried out efficiently and
effectively
- Direct front of house (FOH) operations, including assigning tasks, Point of Sale (POS)
system, purchasing, and handling customer inquiries and feedback
- Direct monthly inventory (food, beverage & supplies); ensuring inventory levels are
sufficient to meet business needs with minimal waste
- Determine, order and maintain required restaurant tools and equipment; schedules
repairs and additional maintenance as needed
- Collaborate with Leader to align restaurant operations with the overarching vision and
goals of the business
- Plan menus and set prices for all hospitality products sold
- Assist in the recruitment of Team Members as needed
- Assemble and prepares fresh ingredients according to recipes/dietary restrictions to
ensure the highest caliber of food freshness, quality and presentation
- Ensure the highest level of cleanliness is maintained by the kitchen and serving team in
the restaurant and Candy Cabin, including all restaurant equipment, fridges, storage
areas, food preparation, and dining areas
- Comply with all industry regulations and standards through the adherence and
enforcement of sanitary and safe food handling guidelines, including proper allergy
procedures and Smart Choices program guidelines
