Boundary Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Produce Clerk in the Produce Department at our Food Store in Killarney, Manitoba.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk is responsible for:

Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Killarney Food Store, Produce Department;
Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety;
Maintain and display all types of produce according to department standards;
Greet customers and responding to customer questions;
Product preparation, packaging, pricing and merchandising;
Customer Service, preparing customer orders etc.;
Cleaning & Maintenance of the Produce Department equipment and work station;
Ensure department best practices are consistently executed;
Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf;
Activating/deactivating promotion and sale pricing;

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in the retail and:

A Grade 12 or combination of relevant experience;
Ability to lift and load products: extensive physical labour required;
Essential to be available to weekend shifts;
You are able to delegate tasks when given multiple tasks at once;
You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members;
You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do;
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
