Job brief
The position supports the Property Management team while working on a wide range of projects and
initiatives that support the delivery of quality services to S.A.M. (Management) Inc.’s stakeholders.
Works cooperatively with the Property Management team on leasing and administration of properties
and provides administrative support, including:
Preparation of Board of Directors meeting packages and reports
Preparation of documents for RTB and RTC hearings, as required
Providing excellent customer service to tenants
Leasing assistance with focus on keeping vacancies to a minimum
Assist with facilitating smooth tenant move ins and move outs
Assists with coordination of unit turnovers
Assist with review and resolution of tenant concerns and issues
Expectations:
Representation of S.A.M. (Management) Inc. in a positive manner through professional conduct
Report tenant concerns and/or building issues to the assigned Property Management
Representative
Preparation of Lease Agreements and effective use of wait lists
Provide quality customer service, including timely response to tenant requests and issues
Assist with advertising vacant units, including developing appropriate marketing plans
Review of tenant arrears to ensure they are kept to a minimum
Keep detailed tenant and unit notes in the property management software system
Assist with preparation of annual rent increase documentation and budgets
Provide information required for reports in a timely and accurate manner
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Demonstrated proficiency in written/oral communication in the English language
2. Experience in customer service is an asset
3. Knowledge of office procedures
4. Ability to use a computer to access internet and retrieve and respond to email
5. Strong knowledge of MS Office - experience with Arcori would be an asset
6. Previous work experience or post-secondary education in a related field
7. Experience in administration and/or working in a non-profit setting is an asset
8. Knowledge of Manitoba Housing regulations as related to family and social housing is an asset
9. Ability to pass a criminal record check
