About the Role
The VNOC (Video Network Operations Centre) Support is responsible for monitoring television services, responding to operational incidents, communicating with clients, and ensuring services remain stable and reliable.
While you will work with broadcast technology every day, this role is centred around operational excellence, customer service and following established procedures.

What You’ll Do
- Monitor more than 1,000 television channels and associated services.
- Respond to operational alarms and incidents in real time.
- Communicate professionally with clients, broadcasters and distribution partners.
- Create, update and close operational support tickets.
- Notify customers of planned maintenance and service events.
- Operate broadcast monitoring and playout systems following established procedures.
- Escalate issues to Engineering when required.
- Coordinate internal teams during service-impacting events.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation.
- Assist with live events, major broadcasts and other operational activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the Operations department.

Technical Familiarity
This role is focused on Operations, not Engineering. We are seeking candidates who are client-focused, process-oriented, and have an interest in technology. While technical knowledge is an asset, the ability to learn new systems, follow established processes, communicate effectively, and support operational excellence is what will make someone successful in this role. Comprehensive training will be provided to develop the necessary broadcast and platform knowledge.
Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:
- Monitoring platforms
- Ticketing systems
- Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Networking fundamentals
- Broadcast or streaming technologies
- Computer hardware and software
Career Growth
This position is intended for individuals seeking to build a long-term career within Operations. Opportunities for growth and advancement are available within the Operations department. While exceptional performance may open doors elsewhere within the organization, those opportunities are not guaranteed and follow separate hiring processes. This position is not intended as a pathway into Engineering.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position based in Markham, Ontario.
Our Operations Centre is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Candidates must be flexible to work a rotating schedule that will include:
- Five shifts per week (8 hour shifts)
- 7am-3pm (Monday-Sunday)
- 3pm-11pm (Monday-Sunday)
- Overnight shifts (as needed)
- Statutory holidays (as needed)
Compensation & Benefits
Following the successful completion of the probationary period, compensation will be reviewed based on performance, and employees will become eligible for participation in the company’s benefits program.
