Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
The Assembler will accurately piece together mechanical and electrical parts according to drawings, diagrams, and established procedures, using hand and power tools. This role involves performing both subassembly and final assembly operations on units of varying shapes and sizes, ensuring all products meet quality, testing, and production requirements before leaving the work center.
Responsibilities

Perform a variety of mechanical and electrical subassembly and final assembly operations on units with variable shapes and sizes.

Follow established methods, procedures, and work instructions to complete designated assemblies accurately and efficiently.

Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to assemble components and verify proper operation.

Work from blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics to assemble parts and systems correctly.

Conduct tests on assembled units, analyze the results, and record test data clearly and accurately.

Verify that each job meets all quality, specification, and documentation requirements before it leaves the work center.

Meet or exceed established production levels while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Participate in supplier development activities as required to support continuous improvement of products and processes.
Essential Skills

Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics.

Experience conducting basic testing on assembled units and recording test results.

Work Environment
This role is based in a medium-sized manufacturing facility of over 200,000 square feet, featuring six assembly workstations, eight welding cells, a paint booth, and an epoxy mold department with more than ten machines. The workspace is very clean, well organized, and brightly lit, with very high ceilings that contribute to a comfortable environment.
The position operates on straight shifts, with one option on days from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and one option on afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., including a shift premium for afternoons and one option for nights from 11:30pm to 7:30am that also includes a higher premium. The work involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment at dedicated assembly stations in a structured production setting, with an expectation of appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing environment.
