Overview

Join our vibrant farm community as a Farm Store Supervisor/Coordinator, where you will lead the daily operations of our farm store with enthusiasm and expertise. This dynamic role combines retail management, team leadership, and customer engagement to create a welcoming environment for visitors and shoppers alike. As the face of our farm store, you will ensure smooth store functions, oversee sales activities, and foster a positive shopping experience that highlights our farm’s fresh offerings and community spirit. Your energy and organizational skills will drive the success of our store while promoting sustainable farming practices and local products.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily store operations, including opening, closing, produce quality control and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
Lead and motivate a team of staff members through effective training, development, and performance management.
Manage inventory purchasing, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales and minimize waste.
Oversee point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling procedures, and sales transactions with accuracy and integrity.
Develop marketing initiatives to promote seasonal products.
Coordinate recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members.
Maintain administrative records such as ordering and scheduling.
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing shopper inquiries promptly and professionally while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Implement sales management strategies to meet or exceed store goals through effective upselling and product placement.
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, reinforce policies, and encourage team collaboration.

Requirements

Proven supervising or team management experience in retail or farm store environments.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory control, and budgeting principles.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
Customer service-oriented mindset with exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle administrative tasks such as ordering and scheduling accurately.
Familiarity with marketing techniques to promote products effectively within the community.
Multilingual skills are advantageous for engaging a broader customer base; proficiency in math is essential for sales calculations and inventory management.
