Compensation: Starting rate based on experience & specialized ticket premiums

Position Summary
We are seeking experienced mining professionals to support Mine Dispatch Coordinators and control room operations at the Jansen Mine site. This position works alongside Mine Dispatch Coordinators and site leadership to support the safe, efficient, and disciplined execution of underground mining operations.
The Control Room Operations Supervisor serves as a central point of coordination between production, maintenance, logistics, and operational leadership. This role is responsible for maintaining real-time situational awareness, monitoring operational activity, supporting production execution, communicating emerging risks, and ensuring timely escalation of operational issues. While this position does not perform the primary Dispatch Coordinator role, it plays a critical support function by helping maintain the operational awareness, facilitating communication, and supporting safe and efficient execution of the underground mine plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct operational support to Mine Dispatch Coordinators by assisting with control room activities, communication, production tracking, operational coordination, and issue escalation.
- Maintain real-time awareness of underground production, maintenance, logistics, and safety activities from the control room.
- Support operational execution by monitoring shift priorities, equipment utilization, production progress, and operational constraints.
- Coordinate communication between underground crews, supervisors, maintenance teams, and operational leadership.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate operational risks, delays, bottlenecks, and safety concerns.
- Support responses to operational disruptions, changing priorities, power outages, traffic restrictions, and other unplanned events.
- Assist with production tracking and shift plan execution while maintaining visibility of active work and emerging challenges.
- Support emergency communications and incident response activities as required.
- Facilitate effective shift handovers through clear communication of operational status, priorities, risks, and constraints.
QUALIFICATONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
- Minimum of 5 years of underground mining experience.
- Previous supervisory experience within an underground potash mining operation.
- Mine Supervisor Certification.
- Strong understanding of underground potash production, development, maintenance, and operational workflows.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced mining environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience utilizing operational reporting systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
Preferred
- Previous control room, dispatch, integrated operations, or mine coordination experience.
- Experience supporting production planning, dispatch, or operational execution activities.
- Experience with fleet management, dispatch, or mine monitoring systems.
- Potash mining production and development experience.
- Experience working in large-scale mining operations.
- Aptitude for building and maintaining strong relationships.
