Intermediate Building Envelope Engineer
Location: Calgary or Edmonton

WADE is looking for an Intermediate Building Envelope Engineer to join our growing team in either Calgary or Edmonton. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and assist with building envelope condition assessments and targeted investigations
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and sub-consultants at all stages of the project
- Prepare engineering documents, schedules, or reports
- Prepare plan drawings, contracts, and technical specifications
- Perform project document reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, etc.)
- Interpret and analyze field review data to evaluate and make recommendations
- Lead pre-bid meetings and construction kick-off meetings
- Perform field performance testing (water penetration, air leakage, thermography etc.)
- Perform field reviews and manage deficiency lists
- Project coordination for small and large projects
- Conduct contract administration tasks
- Prepare and assist with proposals and project financial budgets
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years engineering experience is preferred
- Understanding of design and drafting practices for building envelope components
- Experience with preparing and reviewing technical specifications.
- Experience in Building Envelope Rehabilitation projects is an asset.
- Effective organizational and time management skills

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hrs/week
