ABOUT THE ROLE:
BGSA Diagnostic Imaging Centre is seeking a patient-focused and adaptable Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join our dynamic diagnostic imaging team on permanent Ffull-time basis (1. FTE) and part-ttime permanent basis (0.4-0.9 FTE).
The MRT role involves working 7.75 hours per day (averaging 38.75 hours per week). Shifts typically start as early as 7:00 a.m. and end by 5:00 p.m., depending on coverage needs.
We also operate a remote site in Brooks, and travel to this location may be required. Brooks shifts are slightly longer, typically running from 7:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. to accommodate travel time. A company vehicle is provided for any required travel.
REQUIREMENT FOR INTERESTED APPLICANTS:
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services while adhering to provincial and federal regulations, Standards of Practice, and the Code of Ethics for MRTs.
- Confirm patient identification, explain procedures, and adapt imaging protocols to ensure optimal diagnostic results.
- Perform examinations, assist radiologists during procedures, and administer contrast agents when required.
- Apply radiation protection principles (ALARA) to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
- Assess and verify images for diagnostic quality and accuracy.
- Participate in pain management services, quality assurance/control activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and support daily operational needs.
- Mammography and/or Bone Density education or experience is an asset but not required.
- Must be a current member of the CAMRT (MRT)
- Must be licensed to practice by ACMDTT
