We are currently seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our Oil & Gas division, working out of the Edmonton or Calgary area.
Requirements
- Technical diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology or have an equivalent amount of related Oil and Gas experience.
- Proficient with field survey systems such as RTK-GPS and Total Station.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Proficient with field calculations & notes.
- Valid class 5 drivers license with a clean driver abstract.
- Be able to represent the company well with clients and the public.
- Ability to work effectively in various geographical settings, weather conditions, and climates.
- Satisfy pre-employment requirements, including drug screening.
- Current safety certificates which include: Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, ATV Safety, WHMIS 2015 Bear Aware, Chainsaw Safety Training, and the Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
- Willingness to work out of town.

- Experience managing own projects, communicating well with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execution of survey field tasks assigned.
- Understand related professional acts, standards, and regulations.
- Maintain effective communication throughout each project.
- Locate primary and secondary survey evidence and control.
- Client communications and company representation in the field.
This position comes with the option of a guaranteed monthly minimum wage regardless of hours worked.
