Full job description

Watts Up Solar Ltd. is looking for a reliable, friendly, and organized Office Secretary / Administrative Assistant to join our team at our office location.

This is a front-of-house role for someone who is comfortable answering phones, greeting customers, keeping the office organized, and helping the business run smoothly day to day. Over time, there may also be an opportunity to grow into a semi-sales support role, including helping prepare solar proposals and assisting customers through the early stages of their solar journey.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: In office
Job Type: Full-time or near full-time
Industry: Solar energy / construction / customer service

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Answering incoming phone calls during office hours
Taking detailed messages and directing calls to the right team members
Greeting customers, suppliers, and visitors at the office
Performing general clerical and administrative duties
Responding to basic customer inquiries
Organizing documents, files, and office records
Scheduling or helping coordinate appointments as needed
Supporting the sales and operations teams with day-to-day admin tasks
Assisting with proposal preparation and customer follow-up as the role develops
Helping maintain a professional, welcoming front-office environment

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

Friendly, professional, and comfortable speaking with customers
Reliable and punctual
Organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable using computers, email, and basic office software
Able to take clear notes and pass information along accurately
Calm and polite on the phone
Willing to learn about solar energy and our sales process
Able to work independently and stay on top of routine tasks

Previous office, reception, customer service, or administrative experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
