Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Movers/Packers to join our team at Thompson's Moving & Storage!

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS LOOKING FOR A SUMMER JOB!

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the transportation of goods and belongings for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to ensuring a smooth moving experience for our clients. We're looking for candidates who are outgoing and easy to talk to.

Responsibilities

Load and unload items from trucks and vehicles, ensuring all items are handled with care.
Safely transport goods to designated locations while adhering to all safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate moving logistics.
Operate forklifts and other moving equipment as needed (training may be provided).
Assist in packing and unpacking items as required by clients.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and during moves.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.

Requirements

Previous experience in warehouse operations or moving is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday.
Valid driver's license is a plus, particularly for those interested in commercial driving roles.
Forklift certification is advantageous; training may be available for qualified candidates.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated and reliable.
