Job Summary

Join our renowned oyster bar and cocktail lounge as a visionary Head Chef, working side-by-side with our talented local culinary team to create memorable dining experiences that have everyone talking! We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our dining experience. As the creative force behind our kitchen, you will oversee all food preparation, ensure exceptional quality standards, and foster a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment. Your leadership will inspire team members to deliver memorable dishes that delight our guests while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and management skills in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting.

Duties

Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment
Develop innovative menus that reflect current food trends while maintaining consistency with brand standards
Oversee daily food preparation activities, ensuring dishes meet high-quality standards for taste, presentation, and freshness
Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling waste to optimize kitchen efficiency and profitability
Enforce strict adherence to food safety protocols and hygiene regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment for guests and staff
Train team members on proper food handling techniques, cooking methods, and service standards
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting with strong team management skills
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development within the food industry
Demonstrated restaurant management experience with a focus on operations, staff training, and customer service excellence
In-depth knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and hygiene practices aligned with local regulations
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels
Passion for culinary arts with an innovative mindset and attention to detail in food presentation
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality
