We are currently seeking a Concrete Civil Quality Technician to join our team on remote construction projects.
Position Summary
The Concrete Civil Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all concrete and civil construction activities meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations. The successful candidate will perform inspections, testing, documentation, and quality assurance activities while working closely with project management, field crews, engineers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and related civil works.
- Conduct and document quality control testing, including:
- Concrete slump testing
- Air content testing
- Temperature monitoring
- Concrete cylinder sampling and preparation
- Density and compaction testing (asset)
- Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
- Monitor construction activities to identify quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate quality control records, reports, and test results.
- Coordinate with project supervisors, engineers, and third-party testing agencies.
- Participate in project quality audits and inspections.
- Assist with material tracking, approvals, and documentation.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality assurance processes.
Qualifications
Required
- Diploma or certification in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Experience in concrete testing, civil construction inspection, or quality control.
- Knowledge of concrete construction methods and testing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remote work sites.
Preferred
- CCIL Certification (Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories) – Concrete Field Testing.
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Certification.
- Experience with heavy civil, infrastructure, mining, industrial, or remote construction projects.
- Familiarity with provincial and federal construction standards.
Work Conditions

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
