Job Overview

We are seeking a Greenhouse Worker to join our team. This role involves maintaining and caring for leafy green vegetables in a greenhouse environment, ensuring optimal growing conditions, identifying signs of pest damage, and supporting daily greenhouse operations.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and enjoys working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in plant care, irrigation systems, and greenhouse operations.

Responsibilities

General greenhouse operations, including plant care, propagation, watering, fertilization, and pruning
Lift and move plants, soil, trays, and other supplies (up to 50 lbs) as required
Monitor plant health and identify and report signs of pests, diseases, or other crop issues
Monitor and manage climate control systems (temperature, humidity, ventilation, and irrigation)
Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment to support greenhouse maintenance
Maintain cleanliness and organization of greenhouse environment
Communicate effectively with ownership and team members regarding production needs and timelines

Qualifications

Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plant care
Experience with drip irrigation system and hydroponics preferred but not required
Experience growing leafy green vegetables preferred but not required
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and greenhouse equipment preferred but not required
Experience using Argus control system preferred but not required
