Warehouse Supervisor / Lead Hand – Milton, ON
We are currently seeking a full time Overnight Lead Hand to join our team based out of our Milton, Ontario location.
Full-time, Permanent position
Shifts: Sunday to Friday, 6:30 PM – 2:30 AM
Days Off: Saturday and one other day off (subject to change, typically Monday or Wednesday)
Wage: $22.50 – $25.00/hr

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offloads product from trucks and provides for rotation on a “first in-first out” basis unless otherwise specified by the purchaser
- Supervise and participate in order selection and loading for all runs and trucks.
- Stacks pallets correctly, i.e., heavy products used as the base, light and delicate products on top
- Stages products in cooler, warehouse and on dock to ensure that only quality products are accessible for selection and delivery to customers, and consults with the quality control specialist or purchaser when there is a doubt about quality
- Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all products shipped or received
- Actively inspects a minimum of two cases per pallet for all pallets received
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of our products and procedures.
- Stores all received product in the designated areas
- Inspects all incoming trucks according to company guidelines. (temperature, cleanliness and sanitation)
- Enter customer order, print pick labels, invoices and do other computer work as needed
- Records all deliveries in log.
- Follow all food safety procedures in place and ensure staff are complying with procedures.
- Ensure proper record keeping for all daily record checks required.
- Create weekly schedules for the Overnight order selectors.
Skills, Qualifications , Experience: You bring to our Table
- Ability to lead and motivate team members. Up to 10 staff members.
- Valid licence for operation of counter-balance forklift (preferred)
- 3 – 5 years of experience operating above equipment in a warehouse environment (accident free)
- Prior experience in a fast paced warehouse is essential
- Prior experience in a multi-temperature environment and perishable products an asset
- Knowledge of produce is an asset
- May be required to work longer than the scheduled work hours
- Has a history of good attendance and adherence to the work schedule
