Registered Early Childhood Educators (School Age Specialists)

Location: St. Matthew

200 Windwood Drive, Binbrook, ON

Split Shift– 25 Hours a week (Approx. 7-9am and 3-6 pm- this varies on bell time)

Salary: $25.64-28.56 per hour

Benefit: $50.00 travel expense added to each pay

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Recreation and Leisure or Child and Youth Care
Standard First aid/CPR level C certification
Vulnerable sector check and police check (done in the last 6 months)Record of up to date Immunization (TB Test, Tetanus, Polio, MMR)
Experience working with children from 4-12 years of age in a child care setting
Valid Driver's License and Access to a reliable vehicle daily

Role of School Age Specialist

Create warm, welcoming environments before and after school for the children
Engage in rich learning experiences and co-learning with children
Engage in outdoor activities to help children explore the natural world
Help children to navigate their world through play and plan experiences based on their interests
Build professional relationships with children, families and other educators
Document the children’s learning
