Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to foster a welcoming environment
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering processes, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including proper food handling and preparation practices
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food service flow and address guest needs promptly
Manage multiple tables simultaneously through effective time management, ensuring all guests receive attentive service
Assist in restaurant operations during busy periods by supporting team members and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
Mix alcoholic beverages

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with strong customer service skills
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering tasks
Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently without compromising service quality
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures within the food industry
Ability to perform basic math calculations for billing, tips, and cash handling accurately
Strong communication skills to engage guests positively and work seamlessly with team members
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food preparation or guest services
Enthusiastic attitude with a focus on upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
Responsible beverage certificate an asset
