ABOUT THE ROLE
A Seasonal Warehouse Associate (Shortages) is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all short orders filled from warehouse inventory using power equipment. This team is also responsible for documenting and reporting shortages and its causes by following the SOP. Maintain a safe and efficient warehouse. Meet all productivity and accuracy standards. Adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Starting pay is $21.63 per hour CAD.
Monday - Friday (1:30pm-10pm) full-time, Non-Exempt
Note: As a seasonal hire you will have a defined employment time period, 90 days from the date of hire.
Duties and Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for efficiently and accurately filling customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping product in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity

Prepare customer orders accurately and timely to meet daily production goals

Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements

Prepare and pack goods for shipment

Understand the Corpsite system

Complete and maintain all required documentation

Knowledge about product and locations

Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, broken or unidentified packages to the supervisor

Operates machinery including forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and stock chaser.

Contributes to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment

Performs inventory counts and reconciles any discrepancies

Train in Will Call and other customer service duties as required

Maintain organization and cleanliness of Distribution Center

Assists with other warehouse or branch duties as needed

Must be willing to cross train
Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-
Ability to read and speak English.

Must have reliable transportation.

Ability to follow detailed instructions.

Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized, and positive warehouse environment.

Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery.
-
Must be comfortable using electronic devices.
-
Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.

Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately.

Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.

Must be flexible with start and departure time changing.

Ability to work overtime when needed.

Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Responsible for any additional duties assigned.
Physical Demands
In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.
Working Environment
The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
