Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk / Barista to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality baked goods and beverages. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, barista skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for customers. This position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant bakery setting, contributing to a positive customer experience and supporting daily operations.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections of baked goods and beverages
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other specialty beverages as per recipes and customer preferences
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate cash handling and transactions
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling baked goods, packaging orders, and maintaining food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, display cases, and seating areas in accordance with health regulations
Restock supplies, baked goods, and beverages to ensure availability throughout the shift
Manage cash register operations including cashiering duties with accuracy in math calculations
Ensure food handling procedures are followed to uphold food safety standards
Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, taking orders, and resolving any concerns promptly

Skills

Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS
Previous barista experience or knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Ability to handle food safely and maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with food safety regulations
Ability in learning baking basic product such as croissant, cookies etc...
Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations
Effective time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
Serving experience in a food industry setting is preferred but not required
Knowledge of food preparation and food service best practices is advantageous
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
