Join our Laboratory Services team here at Humber River Health and help to delivery timely and accurate test results and improve patient outcomes.
Our Laboratory Services Department uses state of the art equipment, technology and processes to collect and test clinical specimens in order to obtain information about the health of our patients so that our inter-professional teams can diagnose, treat and prevent disease.
Our Laboratory Assistants (Laboratory Technician III) perform blood collection, prepare specimens and maintain the facilities and equipment. Are you a Laboratory Assistant (Laboratory Technician III) with 2 years of experience in performing phlebotomy of adults, children and neonates? Hours of Work: 8 hour rotating shifts on weekdays, evenings and/or weekends including commitment of hours as per the Collective Agreement - subject to change as per operational needs and Article HRH 2 – Management Rights

Position Responsibilities:

Phlebotomy, central processing and ECGs.

Microbiology planting.

Dispensing/Discarding duties for Histology department.

Can be assigned /trained in other Laboratory Disciplines

Perform other related duties as assigned.
