Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator - 12 MONTH CONTRACT
($18.35/hr)
Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, the Inventory Control Coordinator will be working with various departments in the Warehouse optimizing processes, increasing company profitability and ensuring the efficiency of the supply chain within the warehouse through the analysis and development of standard operations. This entry level position works closely with the Inventory Control Supervisor. The role carries responsibility for assistance in developing and executing inventory control measures to ensure that the company maximizes the utilization of operational space through capacity planning, stock system and inventory accuracy.
Position responsibilities but not limited include:
· Perform all inventory control related activities, including stock analysis, location maintenance, cycle counts and audits.
· Maintain inventory through daily transactions, utilizing the wms system, access database and excel.
· Complete daily/weekly reporting.
· Adhere to all operational procedures and ensure all departmental standards and objectives are met.
· Create training presentations that review inventory control procedures and present to warehouse staff.
· Enhance and maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions to maintain accurate inventory levels
· Maximize the use of the warehouse’s available cube space by improving storage and picking efficiency.
· Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams, including those from planning, sales and the warehouse
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
· Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
· Possess relevant IT skills in basic MS Office applications - Excel in particular
· Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to work with different profiles and in a complex and changing environments
· Lean Manufacturing knowledge
· Very good verbal communications skills at all organization levels
· Must be a self-starter and have strong motivation skills
