Operations /Production Executive
A dynamic, fast growing Manufacturer of Aerospace Components & Assemblies, Nuclear Tubing & Devices and Power Generation Equipment; requires a creative & experienced OPERATIONS / PRODUCTION EXECUTIVE to grab this opportunity and LEAD a creative & highly skilled team of production process technicians.
The ideal candidate would be looking to help lead this team to deliver the current growing business and to harvest the many new opportunities that the company is facing. This person will need to have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role. This person Must be a "Results" focused Leader, with a Passion to Create, Innovate, Measure, and to surpass our client’s objectives. Must be focused on Improving all areas of the operations and manufacturing process, and the skills of the production team. Above all this individual generates results.
This person will report to the President/COO and will work intimately with Engineering & Quality Management & Special Process teams to solve issues and produce excellence for our high technology clients. This person will also be a key member of the Executive Team and be influential in fulfilling the goals, objectives and requirements of the company’s next growth phase.
Job Summary:
The OPERATIONS / PRODUCTION EXECUTIVE will Manage, Plan & Supervise all 'Production Activities': Educate, Train, & Motivate all facility production staff; comply with all safety, quality and production plans.
· Responsible for the management of all production operations, including a preventative maintenance program, the facility's performance in cost reductions, overhead utilization, and production efficiency.
· Understands aerospace / nuclear & power generation and similar products and service designs, dimensions and purposes, the related quality & engineering specifications and standards.
· Is able to lead interaction with clients and vendors to ensure performance metrics and to provide performance feedback.
· Oversees all activities involved in the planning, manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and successful delivery of Aerospace Components/Assemblies, Nuclear Products, Power Generation Equipment and Services to all Clients.
· Oversees the 'production planning, tracking' and 'reporting' systems using the Company's MRP System (Job Boss), to forecast, analyze, and utilize manufacturing information
· Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of the 'release' of inputs (materials, hardware, supplies) to the production floor.
· Responsible for the Hiring, Training and Supervision of all production personnel and the continuous establishment of an effective workforce
· Responsible for the development and implementation of innovative strategies to streamline all Production Processes and Factory Operations
· To Collaborate with Engineering, Quality control, Materials Management, and Shipping departments to establish and execute efficient production processes and workflow.
· To Collaborate with the Finance Department to establish cost results, forecasts, budgets, and cost reduction strategies; to establish and execute reporting procedures to track, analyze and report on results.
· Responsible for the Health & Safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills, Aptitudes, Characteristics and Experience:
· Experienced managing a Production / Manufacturing environment. Experienced in working with ISO Quality and Production Management systems such as JOB BOSS.
· Is focused and disciplined in meeting delivery schedules and production timeline goals
· Is motivated to discover multiple solutions to resolve process issues
· Is dedicated to 'continuous improvement' in quality standards and production efficiency results
· He has strong organizational and communication skills with the Production Staff and works with the other departments of the company in establishing objectives, timelines, and action plans to deliver the desired outputs.
· Has strong software and computer skills and has strong math, analytical and statistical skills
Qualifications and Preferred Experiences
· A minimum of 10 years' experience in managing an (ISO- regulated) manufacturing environment — Cell production experience is an advantage
· Knowledge of Welding, Bending, Machining, Chemical Processing and Painting is an advantage.
· Ability to analyze problems and issues, delegating and monitoring assignments and promoting team building and collaboration,
· Lean manufacturing experience; 5S experience; Six Sigma is beneficial.
· Computer skills — JOB Boss, Microsoft, Cad Software
· Strong knowledge of planning (MRP) and Scheduling.
· Strong knowledge of General Tolerancing and Dimensions
· Professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with employees
· University or Technical College Degree /Certification / Accreditation very useful.
Pay: $95,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
