Position Summary
Partners Community Health (PCH) is seeking a Human Resource Assistant (Summer Student) to support the Human Resources team. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this role provides administrative and clerical support while offering hands-on experience in a professional HR environment. The successful candidate will assist with daily HR operations, employee services, and recruitment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to daily HR operations
- Maintain and update confidential employee records and HR databases
- Respond to general HR inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and documentation
- Ensure HR processes comply with company policies, labour regulations, and privacy standards
- Collaborate with departments to support HR initiatives
- File and organize employee records
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities, including various stages of the hiring process
- Provide vacation coverage for HR team members
- Support the maintenance, administration, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Perform additional administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
- Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or Administration program
- Previous experience in healthcare, including Long-Term Care (LTCH), is considered an asset but not required
This position offers an hourly wage of $17.60 (minimum wage)
