Full job description

Job Title: HVAC Service Technician
Location: Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton and surrounding)
Industry: HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and/or commercial heating and cooling systems. This role is field-based and requires travel to client sites to ensure timely and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation equipment.
Perform repairs, routine maintenance, and emergency service calls on residential or commercial HVAC systems.
Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Conduct inspections and tests to determine system functionality and ensure compliance with applicable codes.
Install replacement parts, refrigerants, belts, motors, thermostats, and filters as required.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and costs.
Document service reports, recommendations, and completed work via mobile app or paper logs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle.
Adhere to all safety protocols, local HVAC codes, and company policies.
Stay updated on industry advancements, products, and technology.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on HVAC service experience preferred.
Valid G2/G1 Gas License (for Ontario) or equivalent certification and/or valid 313D or 313A Refrigeration License
EPA or ODP certification.
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC.
Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and technical skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (attics, rooftops, crawlspaces, etc.).

Nice to Have:

Red Seal certification.
Smart home integration experience.
Familiarity with HVAC software or digital dispatching tools.
313D or 313A Refrigeration License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
