Full job description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Perth Care For Kids Executive Director. The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge in accounting and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day office operations, and supporting overall business efficiency. An energetic approach and proactive mindset will help ensure smooth financial processes and a well-organized workplace, empowering our team to thrive and grow.

This full time position is for 35 hours per week in Mitchell office.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Utilize accounting software (New Views) to generate reports, all aspects of payroll processing including administration of benefits and group RRSP plans while ensuring employees are paid accurately and on schedule while complying with relevant regulations maintaining financial data integrity
Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify account balances and identify discrepancies promptly.
Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and financial documents for audit readiness and internal review.

Skills

Proven experience with accounting software is essential.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Excellent skills in accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Ability to handle payroll processing efficiently while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of accuracy.
Exceptional organizational skills combined with proactive problem-solving abilities.
Clear communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
