We are currently hiring 3 full-time positions (replacement positions):
- Day Shift Operator (8-hour shifts)
- Night Shift Operator (12-hour shifts)
This is a full-time, on-site role in Mitchell, ON. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Due to the overnight schedule, a reasonable commuting distance (approximately 30 minutes) is strongly preferred. Candidates planning to relocate prior to starting are also encouraged to apply.
Please note: rental housing availability in the Mitchell area can be limited; candidates considering relocation are encouraged to plan accordingly
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting Wage: $20.00/hour
- Overtime Pay: 1.5x hourly rate after 40 hours/week
- Night Shift Premium: +$1.00/hour when on this shift
- Health Benefits: Eligible after a successful 90-day probation period
- Group RSP Plan: Eligible after a successful 90-day probation period
- Holiday Bonus: $1,000 (pro-rated based on start date and active days worked)
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5 x 8-hour shifts)
- Night Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (4 x 12-hour shifts)
Note: Shifts are currently fixed and do not rotate.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Industrial/manufacturing experience is an asset
- Lead Operator experience is an asset
- Physically capable of lifting 25–30 kg (55–65 lbs)
- Strong attendance and dependability
- Ability to accurately complete production records and maintain clear, legible handwritten documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Batch manufacturing of animal health care products
- Completing batch records and other production documentation accurately, with clear and legible handwriting
- Manual physical labour (on a continuous basis)
- Cleaning and maintaining production areas
- Maintaining accurate production records per GMP standards
- Following written procedures with attention to detail
- Performing basic mathematical calculations
- Demonstrating a team-oriented attitude and a focus on product quality
