About us

Hiring for General Laborers

Shean Concrete and Construction is a small business located in Mitchell, ON. We are fast-paced, rewarding, and challenging.

We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Concrete and Construction Worker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work well in a team, and commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

Form, pour, and finish concrete for a variety of construction projects including foundations, walls, floors, and sidewalks. We specialize in barns and commercial buildings.
Operate and maintain a variety of concrete equipment and tools, including saws, drills, and trowels
Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
Assist with other construction tasks as needed
Follow all safety procedures and regulation to ensure a safe work environment for all team members
Maintain a clean and organized job site at all times
Follow instructions and participate in a team environment

Requirements:

Must be able to commute to to our shop located in Mitchell daily
Required frequent travel to job sites throughout Ontario, and willing to spend extended periods of time away. Accommodations, and food allowance provided.
General Laborer- Minimum 2 years of experience in concrete/construction work.
Lead hand- MUST have minimum 5 years experience as a Lead hand for a concrete/construction site.
Knowledge of concrete forming, placing and finishing techniques
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team
Ability to work long hours and heavy lifting
Ability to operate and maintain a variety of construction equipment and tools
Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work
Valid Drivers license to drive work vehicles to and from job sites
