Since 1991, Chervin has been designing, manufacturing, and installing high-end custom cabinetry in homes across Waterloo Region. Over the years, Chervin has expanded to serve the GTA and Muskoka region. Chervin has also built and acquired 4 sister companies which have given us the opportunity to be a key player in the markets for luxury hotel furniture, residential furniture, custom upholstered furniture, and home décor.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Woodworking: Build and assemble custom woodworking projects, including cabinetry and other pieces to exacting specifications.
Blueprint and Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and designs to create accurate and high-quality products.
Tool Operation: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to craft and finish wood components with precision.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure the product vision aligns with expectations and quality standards.
Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and shape wood materials to achieve the desired outcomes and superior finishes.
Workspace Management: Maintain an organized and tidy workspace, ensuring safety protocols and efficient production processes.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and ensure the highest standard of work throughout the production process.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the building process to ensure the timely completion of projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

5+ years of experience in custom woodworking or cabinetmaking
Ability to lift 50lbs
Machining experience, with table saws preferred
Strong proficiency in reading blueprints and detailed technical drawings
Experience operating saws, routers, sanders, and other woodworking equipment
Knowledge of various wood species and their applications in custom builds
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
