Qualifications

Experience working with children or youth in educational, recreational, or community settings.
Prior experience working with people with exceptionalities is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Basic understanding of ABA is a bonus.
Valid drivers license is mandatory.
Access to a vehicle for all shifts is mandatory.
Compassionate, patient, adaptable and non-judgmental demeanor.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Relevant certifications such as: CPR/First Aid, NVCI, WHMIS, Food safety.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult and Youth Worker to support and engage individuals in our community! The ideal candidate will foster a positive environment, promote development, and build trusting relationships with our clients. This role involves working closely with children and adults, including those with exceptionalities, to encourage growth, learning, and social/emotional skills. Our workers play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive space for all participants and we'd love to have you on our team!

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of clients.
Provide mentorship and guidance, fostering positive behavior and self-esteem.
Support individuals with by adapting activities and ensuring accessibility.
Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to support individual development plans.
Follow and assist in implementing behavior modification programs.
Monitor participant progress and report any concerns or incidents to supervisors.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment during all activities.
Assist in planning events or outings that promote social interaction and community involvement.
Uphold program policies and ensure compliance with safety standards at all times.
