Full Job Description
The Opportunity: More Than Just a Job, It’s a Career Launchpad
At Avison Young, we don’t just do deals; we create value for our clients and our communities. As a Principal-led firm, our leaders are invested in your success because when you grow, the whole firm grows.
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Sales Associate to join our Moncton team. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk; it’s for a self-starter who wants to learn the art of the deal, build strong market knowledge, and grow into a successful career in commercial real estate sales and leasing.
This role is part of the Avison Young Associate Program, a 12-month training and support program designed to provide Sales Associates with the skills, tools, mentorship, and hands-on experience required to succeed in the industry.
You’ll be mentored by experienced Principals and senior team members, gaining hands-on exposure to client assignments, negotiations, market strategies, financial analysis, property marketing, and business development.
We offer a culture that is collaborative, ethical, and fast-paced. You’ll have access to industry tools, mapping software, CRM systems, and a global network of experts, all while working in a local office environment that values teamwork, initiative, and professional growth.
What You’ll Do
You won’t just be “helping out”; you’ll play an active role in supporting our sales operations, market intelligence, and client service.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Sales Team Support: Report to and support a Senior Associate/Sales Representative in various capacities, including preparing proposals and market surveys, assisting with client assignments, and participating in listing tours.
- Market Intelligence: Become highly knowledgeable about the Moncton and New Brunswick commercial real estate market. You’ll track buildings, owners, tenants, market activity, and opportunities while helping maintain accurate CRM data.
- Business Development: Under the guidance of senior team members, you’ll support new business development through cold calling, networking, prospecting, and identifying potential opportunities.
- Deal Support & Analysis: Dive into the numbers by preparing financial models, Net Present Value analyses, lease reviews, proposals, building valuations, tenant rolls, market trends, and related research.
- Client Experience: Support client assignments by assisting with property tours, drafting proposals, preparing market surveys, and working with the marketing team to create brochures and other property materials.
- Marketing Support: Assist in preparing particulars of sale, brochures, advertising campaigns, and other marketing materials for properties for lease or sale.
- Strategic Reporting: Help gather and prepare information for market reports that clients rely on to understand economic trends, market activity, and property valuations.
- Systems & Tools: Support Avison Young’s information systems, including Salesforce, spreadsheets, valuation tools, mapping programs, research platforms, and CRM database maintenance.
