Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional meal service and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, food preparation, and customer service within healthcare or food industry settings. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our community while developing valuable skills in food safety, sanitation, and hospitality.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating of meals
Deliver attentive customer service to residents, patients, or guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health regulations
Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures
Set up dining areas, including table arrangements and serving stations
Assist with meal delivery and cleanup after service
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages or issues
Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination during food service operations

Qualifications

Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques
Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to manage time effectively during busy meal periods
Basic kitchen experience including cleaning and maintaining sanitation standards
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and residents or patients
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
