Legal Assistant/Paralegal – Mike Murphy Law Group

Location: Moncton, NB (In-Office)

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Mike Murphy Law Group is a busy personal injury firm in Moncton. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will work directly alongside a lawyer to drive cases forward, from initial client intake to trial preparation. The ideal candidate is proactive, meticulously tracks deadlines, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

In this role, you will play a critical part in every stage of our personal injury files. Beyond standard administrative support, you will serve as a compassionate main point of contact for our clients, helping them navigate their recovery while diligently assembling the medical and financial evidence required to build a strong claim.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct client and witness interviews while maintaining regular, prompt communication with clients.

· Draft legal documents and daily correspondence.

· Perform essential legal research and summarize testimony, discoveries, and arguments.

· Maintain accurate digital records and file organization using Filevine software and Google Workspace.

· Manage independent scheduling and maintain a bring-forward system to ensure no deadlines are missed.

· Support general office administration, including but not limited to processing invoices, updating client databases, and handling document deliveries.

· Support bookkeeping services.

· Book hotels and travel for lawyers.

Requirements

· Attention to detail

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to provide professional client service

· Data Record Management skills

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications

· Legal Administration or Paralegal diploma is preferred but not required

· Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) is preferred but not required.

· Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is preferred but not required.

· Ability to manage time independently, track strict legal deadlines, and organize schedules effectively.

· A high standard of professional conduct and excellent client communication skills.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
